UTube to CD or DVD

I have a UTube site that I would like to convert to disk to project to others. What is the method of doing this

I used Zamzar and it converted my U-tube to MP4, I don't know if I chose the right format, tho. I want to be able to put it into my TV to play. I burned it to a CD but the TV rejected that. The CD did play the MP4 on my computer so I know the data is there.

Do I just need the MP4 on a DVD disk or must I convert MP4 to some other format?

There is a link to a tutorial called FLV Conversion Using FFmpeg. It involves entering Command lines into C;\Documents and Settings\xxx and once done you can Download and convert and Burn to CD to your hearts content. Neil.

 

Following all instructions I have gotten here in the last few days, I have been able to put the U-tube file on a CD. I was able to play that movie on my computer. But not on my TV which is my aim. The TV showed the opening clip from the movie but did not go forward.

Do I need to have that file on a DVD disk OR must it be in a different format? OR Both

Do I need to re-convert it again now.? That doesn't seem to be a problem at this point. I just don't want to be spinning my wheels>

 

tenbob, I've run out of ideas but I think there may be something to do with format compatibility between comp and TV. I'm keen to find out more so will keep an "EYE" on this Post. Sorry .Neil.

 

To take video clip(s) and create a DVD which can be played on any standalone players requires a DVD authoring program. I've never done this. There are numerous paid version, but there is a free open source program which can.

I have not had a chance to get into it but will. I am presently near the end of my rope on this matter. I even spoke to a friend about using his video camera to copy the UTube off the computer and put that on a disk, even with its faults.

Fortunately, it is NOT a matter of life or death or even a matter of a financial gain or loss. At this time, anything involving computers is just a hobby. I just want to show that U-Tube to members of my senior center on their TV/ It's a road race by NYC bicycle messengers.
